Module 1 Information
TRE® is an innovative series of exercises that helps the body release deeply held tension, stress, & trauma. TRE® safely activates a natural reflex mechanism of shaking or vibrating that releases muscular tension, calming down the nervous system. The exercises are safe and can be modified for almost all body types. TRE® is being taught in 35 countries and is presently being studied by the Veterans Administration. After dong TRE®, many people report feelings of peace and well-being. You will leave the training knowing a set of exercises you can practice at home.
The training will cover:
Anatomy, neurology, and physiology as it relates to TRE®
Understanding the tremor response
Introduction to the Polyvagal Theory (Stephen Porges)
Defense reactions as they relate to TRE®
Containment and grounding strategies
Introduction to the basic skills of working with individuals and groups
Introduction to TRE® and personal tremoring experiences
Upon completion of the Module 1 training, you will have a deep understanding of the benefits of TRE® for yourself and have a beginning understanding of how to use TRE® to help others. TRE® is practiced by psychotherapists, massage therapist, PTs, acupuncturists, coaches, chiropractors and many other types of helpers. Please note that full certification is needed to use TRE® in your existing practice.
Applications for 18 CEUs for counselors, psychologists, and social workers will be submitted, but nonprofessionals are encouraged to register too!
